Update regarding teacher strikes next week

Good morning,

Next week, there are a further 2 planned teachers strike days that have been organised by the NEU.

The dates of these strikes are Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March.

The decision to close the school to all or some groups of children is never taken lightly. However, where staff do elect to take lawful industrial action, school has to consider very carefully if we are able to make suitable arrangements to ensure the health, safety and well-being of children throughout the day.

It is because of this that we have had to make the difficult decision to close to all Nursery pupils on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March.

All other year groups (Reception to Year 6) will remain open as normal.

This will allow school to utilize staff from Nursery around school to ensure the compulsory year groups in school operate as normal.
